Key Responsibilities

  • Support Business Development Managers and lead from the front to develop new and existing business opportunities, managing all aspects of the Company’s interaction with their Customer, ensuring exemplar levels of accuracy, compliance, customer service and commerciality;
  • Promote, support, guide, and mentor the internal sales staff with any waste enquiries
  • Maximise repeat business, enhancing Acumen’s offering to the Customer at all stages;
  • You will continue to attend site meetings as and when requested,
  • Proactive customer engagement
  • Involvement with procurement and tender activities as and when required
  • Order processing
  • Be the primary point of contact for nominated Customer deemed suitable by the company
  • You will carryout site visits at the customers request and needs
  • Ensure Client satisfaction;
  • Fulfil orders in a timely and efficient manger;
  • Field customer enquiries and resolve customer complaints;
  • Feed into Business Development Managers with regards to customer updates, interaction and services
  • Responsible for CRM updates
  • Initial contact for invoice queries
  • Follow the delivery process through to ensure that Acumen delivers the right service in a timely and commercially effective manner, and track shipments to ensure that delivery occurs in a timely fashion.
Commercial
  • You will continue to act as the companies key person to the Environment Agency
  • Deliver business development opportunities which are commercially and technically robust;
  • Manage customer interaction, working with other members of the team as required, support Business Development Managers with regards to revenue generation, margin enhancement, cost control, budgeting, forecasting and customer reporting;
  • Help to provide excellent customer service and maintain client relationships as required;
  • Ensure that all available Company systems eg. Big Change Apps system are utilised correctly and rigorously at all stages;
  • Ensure that the work undertaken is to the highest possible standards;
  • Identify opportunities for cross-company efficiencies;
  • Where required, engage with supply-chain partners to assist;
  • Where required, select, work with and manage, where required specialist suppliers and sub-contractors.

Operational

  • Identify related business opportunities;
  • Work with the broader support teams to ensure that the business operates in a safe, compliant and commercially sound way;
  • Produce results which create excellence, eg. Customer satisfaction; improving the performance of subcontractors and suppliers; the compliance of sites/ projects within the intended standards;
  • Ensure that the business operates in full compliance with Environment Permits, Planning Permission/s and other applicable legislation;
  • In conjunction with the Compliance Director, identify any ongoing competency, training and development requirements;
  • Feed in to Business Development Team actions required to improve performance, and help in organising specific initiatives.
